Emerge 2009 Results
The results are in and the feedback is important! Emerge 2009 hosted a Town Hall discussion to engage our participants in dialogue about Business Development, Arts, Culture & Entertainment, and Community Engagement work being done in this community. We asked about the progress being made over the past few years in these areas, and then looking forward what more can be done. Read our Press Release for more information. Draft Community Engagement Notes
Emerge NNY 2009, Leveraging Our Assets, was designed to educate and engage young professionals in the assets of our region. Whether it is the asset that lies in our own creativity and professional being, or those that lie in our community and natural resources, leveraging them together we have a stronger, healthier North Country.
On Monday, October 12 at Jefferson Community College we engaged a group of highly-motivated speakers that will leave you better educated about the assets of our region, and leave you asking, “How do I become more involved?” You can also choose from sessions on advancing your professional development. We will finish the day with a working lunch that will bring participants together to chart a course for our future. We will revisit the strategies identified at Emerge 2006 and update them for 2009.
As always, the goal of Emerge NNY is to give young northern New Yorkers the tools they need to be successful and active participants in their local communities. We hope you enjoyed Emerge 2009!
